* On rare occasions during the summer, Denver Botanic Gardens at York St. may close earlier than 8 p.m. Saturday through Tuesday to host a summer concert or other Gardens special event. Please check the website for time/date changes.

Denver Botanic Gardens is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Administrative offices are closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

DENVER BOTANIC GARDENS ADMISSION

Members receive free admission (excluding separately ticketed special events), plus many other benefits.

Admission (April 19 through Nov. 30, 2008)

  • $10.50 for adults
  • $7.50 for seniors 65+
  • $7.50 for visitors with a military ID
  • $6.00 for youth 4-15
  • $6.00 for students with ID
  • Free for children 3 and under

ACCESSIBILITY
Most of our indoor and outdoor gardens and facilities, including restrooms and classrooms, are wheelchair accessible. There are some areas in the gardens that are not wheelchair accessible without assistance. Please check with the Gate House or the Information Desk in the lobby if you need clarification on accessible routes.

Handicapped parking is located in the Gardens’ parking lot across the street from the Main Gate. Handicapped parking is available in the Morrison Center parking lot accessed off of 11th Ave. between York St. and Josephine St.

Wheelchairs are available for loan at no charge at the Information Desk in the lobby. A driver's license or identification card is retained to ensure return.

Denver Botanic Gardens is a non-smoking facility by city ordinance.

Children's Secret Path

Especially for kids: Get your hands dirty in the soil station!

It's a fact: The alligator drum and giant amadinda are musical instruments made from plants.

Botanical interest: Children are encouraged to interact with plants, including smelling fragrant chives (Allium schoenoprasum), touching lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina) and soft artemisia (Artemisia schmidtiana ‘Silver Mound’).
