Shop hundreds of varieties of flowering bulbs, a wide array of garlic grown at Chatfield Farms, plants grown at the Gardens ready for planting, and custom seed mixes curated specifically for Colorado’s climate. Outdoor plants not your style? We have plenty of houseplants and succulents available to spruce up your desktop and windowsills.

Important details:
- Admission is free, but reservations are required.
- Members only on Friday & Saturday, 8-9 a.m.
- Reservations subject to availability; membership does not guarantee admission to Fall Plant & Bulb Sale.
- Last entry is 4 p.m. The event ends at 5 p.m.
Plan your visit:
- Arrive early for the best selection. Items are not restocked each day – inventory is limited. All plants are set out at once for purchase starting Thursday evening.
- Members receive 10 percent off all purchases (must present proof of active membership).
- Bring your own wagon, cart or wheelbarrow to transport plants. A limited number of shopping carts will also be available.
- Credit/debit cards, tap-to-pay and checks are the only accepted forms of payment.

Preview Party
Receive exclusive access to unique bulbs and plants before the sale opens to the public. Guests enjoy a spread of treats, wine and beer.

Can I browse a list of plants and other products before the sale begins?
Yes. Here is the Fall Plant & Bulb Sale shopping guide. Availability is subject to change, and many species sell out quickly. We cannot guarantee availability of any specific varieties.
Do Denver Botanic Gardens members receive a discount?
Members must present their digital membership card to receive the 10 percent discount. Download our mobile app for Apple devices or Android devices to easily access your membership card and tickets. Please note that discounts cannot be combined.
Is there parking?
Free parking is available in our parking garage, accessible from either York Street or Josephine Street. Spaces are limited. Street parking is available, however please be respectful of our neighbors and observe all parking restrictions. Denver Botanic Gardens is not responsible for parking tickets. Consider using these alternate modes of transportation:
- RTD: Use routes #24 (York and Josephine Streets) or #10 (12th Avenue) to access the Gardens.
- Bicycle Colorado and Bike Streets: The Gardens joins Bicycle Colorado and Bike Streets in encouraging cycling as a form of transportation. Bike racks are available at the York Street main entrance.
Can I explore the Gardens after I shop?
Yes! A complimentary plant daycare will be available for all shoppers. This service allows you to drop off your plants after you complete your purchase and pick them up after you finish exploring the Gardens.
What forms of payment will be accepted at the sale?
Credit/debit cards, tap-to-pay and checks will be accepted at the sale; cash purchases cannot be accommodated.
Will shopping carts be available at the sale?
A limited number of shopping carts will be available. However, we encourage guests to bring their own wagons, wheelbarrows or carts. Shopping carts are not permitted in the parking garage.
Will the Shop at the Gardens be open during the sale?
Yes! The Shop at the Gardens will be open during all sale hours, including the Preview Party.
Will I be able to purchase food and beverage at the sale?
Offshoots Café and the Hive Garden Bistro will be open on Friday and Saturday.
Is Fall Plant & Bulb Sale ADA accessible and are wheelchairs or strollers available onsite?
Yes, the sale is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs and strollers can be checked out at the Information Desk in Boettcher Memorial Center. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are accepted. Learn more about accessibility at the Gardens.
Where do I get care information about the plants I purchased?
Basic information about each plant is listed on a placard at the sale. We invite shoppers to take photos of these placards as they shop. For additional planting and care tips, we recommend reaching out to the CSU Extension Master Gardeners in your county. You can also email Colorado Master Gardeners at gardeninghelp@botanicgardens.org with specific plant inquiries. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.
