Realm of Wonder: Izumi Yokoyama
York Street Location
For artist Izumi Yokoyama, slowing down to notice the ephemeral details of nature is a pathway to awe. Realm of Wonder: Izumi Yokoyama invites you to experience the tension between the eternal and the impermanent through intricate nocturnal ink drawings and delicate sculpture evoking the transcendent qualities of falling cherry blossom petals. This site-specific installation offers a place to contemplate the beauty of the night sky and a gentle reminder that every moment, like each petal, is precious in its fleeting nature.
