Tuesday, April 22 is Earth Day and an SCFD free day at York Street and Chatfield Farms. This event will sell out; please get your tickets in advance. No onsite tickets available for sold out days.
York Street Free Day
Play, interact with nature and grow a deeper connection to the world around you with activities at York Street. Free activities will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. York Street is open 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Explore hands-on activities and visit information booths from local organizations
- Drop in on tours, stop by the Learning Cart and join a Science Chat
- Get creative with art activities through the School of Botanical Art & Illustration
- View films in the Sturm Family Auditorium
- Keep an eye out for the Botanicycle

No onsite tickets available for sold out days. Although this event is sold out, tickets occasionally become available and are released into inventory.

Chatfield Farms Free Day
Wander the gardens, connect with plants and get inspired by the natural world at Chatfield Farms. Free activities will take place from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Chatfield Farms is open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Explore different hands-on activities and learning stations throughout the farm
- Learn about the research and conservation with drop-in discovery tours
- Dig up new ways to make positive changes in your own yard and neighborhood
- Create art for the whole family with the School of Botanical Art & Illustration
- Take a tractor ride through our wetlands and search for native plants and animals
