Homeschool Day: Tree-mendous Trees
Explore the tree-mendous world of trees at Denver Botanic Gardens. Become a tree detective as you learn how to identify several common trees found in Colorado, explore how trees grow and discover how different tree parts are used to produce products we use in our everyday lives.
Homeschool Days offer families the opportunity to explore plant-based themes through a variety of hands-on explorations and take-home projects that children and their grown ups complete together. These self-guided and self-paced programs are set up with several activity stations throughout the Gardens for families to explore the day's topic.
Program Location: Weather depending, activity stations will be located both indoors and outdoors. Check in for the program is between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Activity station are open for exploration between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Audience: Families with children ages 6 - 10 years
Price: $14 non-member; $12 per day per child; One adult per child is free of charge. Additional adults and non-participating siblings ages 3 and up are $7 each.
Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week's notice are non-refundable.
