Rocky Mountain Gardening Required Course

This 4-part course provides an overview of basic plant biology providing gardeners a better understanding of plant structure, physiology, adaptations, interactions, and more. Botany for Gardeners provides an excellent introduction on how to understand plants from the plant's point of view.

Required Text: Botany for Gardeners by Brian Capon, available in the Helen Fowler Library, online or in most bookstores.

Sheridan Samano is Co-founder and Principal Consultant of ReefsToRockies.com, a sustainable, conservation-based travel company. Sheridan has a master's in biology from University of Colorado - Denver and a Bachelor of Science in wildlife and fisheries science from Texas A&M University. Sheridan is the author of "Best Birding Hikes - Colorado's Front Range" (2020).
