Join a local entrepreneur and gardening expert to learn how to design and create a thriving kitchen garden. This sequential six-session course will take you through all the best practices for developing a kitchen garden that meets your needs. Each week gain new skills and get your questions answered.
Here is the course outline:
Week 1: Location & Design: Learn to pick the ideal location, choose your layout, and design your kitchen garden
Week 2: Sourcing Materials: Learn how and where to source materials for building your raised bed gardens
Week 3: Seasons & Plant families: Learn about the crazy growing conditions in Colorado and how to plant for each season
Week 4: Planting: Learn Auntie M's intensive planting method
Week 5: Tending & Natural pest control: Learn how to make the most of the time you spend in your garden
Week 6: Harvesting & Preservation techniques: Learn how to harvest your garden and methods to use to enjoy your harvests year round
In person participation includes materials such as herbs, seeds and other items.

Instructor: Elisa Mack
Elisa is the founder of Auntie M's Garden in Denver, where she has spent the last five years designing and installing kitchen gardens and water-wise landscapes for homes in Denver and the surrounding areas. Before transitioning to gardening, Elisa worked as a wigmaker and hairstylist in film and theater, where she loved creating beauty with her hands. However, an unexpected injury abruptly ended what she thought would be her lifelong career.
