Children and Family Workshop: Chocolate Treats

Calling all chocolatiers! Explore the journey from bean to bar and discover how cacao beans are transformed into delicious chocolate confections. Unwrap your creativity and join us as we create an assortment of tasty chocolate treats to take home.

Family workshops offer families a hands-on guided classroom experience to learn about the science and enchantment behind the plants in our everyday lives, create tasty treats and explore the natural world.

Program Location: This program takes place indoors.

Audience: Materials and program format are appropriate for families with children ages 7 and up.

Price: $17 per person; $15 member adult

Registration Instructions: All individuals present for the workshop must be registered. Due to limited classroom space and materials, we are unable to accommodate non-participating adults and children.

This program includes tasting and handling of a variety of food items. If you or any members of your group have food allergy concerns we recommend contacting familyprograms@botanicgardens.org before registering to discuss the ingredients used during the during the program. 

Cancellations: Cancellations more than one week prior to a class are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than one week's notice are non-refundable.
