Introduction to Embroidery at Plains Conservation Center
Have you ever wanted to learn a truly ancient art form? Embroidery is a relatively simple, approachable way to get into needlecrafting. Little equipment is needed and it doesn't require a lot of space, but you can create beautiful pieces of decorative art.
In this hands-on class, students will learn a variety of basic stitches that can be used to create intricate designs. After getting comfortable with stitches in a small sample piece, choose to use a prepared design or design your own pattern to start an embroidery piece to take home. If you have some knowledge of stitching, this class will allow you to expand your horizons, but it is also open to complete beginners.
