Homeschool Science Supplement at Plains Conservation Center: Acid and Base Lab

In this chemistry class, we will explore one class of chemicals: acids and bases. Students will learn about the pH scale, what makes a substance an acid or base and the properties of acids and bases. Students will use indicators to test a variety of common household materials to identify acids and bases, then explore how they interact.

Homeschool science supplement classes are designed for

4th-9th graders to expand on their scientific knowledge and skills.

Audience: Families with children in grades 4-9
