Garden Camps for Kids

The Gardens offers camps for kids ages 6-12 only that are full of exploration, games, activities, mindfulness and plants to take home.

Registered families must complete all required camper forms in our camp family portal by March 3, 2025 to secure enrollment in camp. You will receive a link to log into your existing family portal or create a new family profile in your initial booking confirmation email. Email gardencamp@botanicgardens.org with questions.

Program fee: $325 per week

Summer Farm Camps and Garden Camps fill up quickly. Rather than waitlists, in 2025, any open spots for camp will go back on sale. Please check our catalog periodically for any open spots. 

Registration opens for members on Wednesday, January 22 at 10 a.m. Any remaining spots will go on sale to the public on Friday, January 24 at 10 a.m. Registration link will appear on this page by January 22.

Farm Camps at Chatfield Farms

Join us for an unforgettable week on the farm, where adventure meets nature! Dig in the dirt, meet adorable farm animals and immerse yourself in the daily rhythms outside of the city. Each day, make new discoveries through exciting art projects, hands-on science experiments, gardening and outdoor explorations. All Farm Camps take place at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms in Littleton. Please note: No aftercare is available at Chatfield Farms.

Spring Break Camp at Chatfield Farms

Fossils to Flowers
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 17-21
Ever wonder what life was like when dinosaurs roamed the earth? Journey through time exploring how life changes and evolves. Go a step further by examining the relationships between living and nonliving things, just like a real-world scientist! Pot your own prehistoric garden to bring home.

Chatfield Farms Summer Camps

Life on the Farm
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 9-13 or July 7-11
Immerse yourself in the Hildebrand Ranch and learn about what life was like living on a farm in the past. Dig into what farming looks like today and imagine where farming might go in the future. Plant a pasta garden to bring home to your kitchen.

Fantastic Flora
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 16-20 or July 14-18
Explore the enchantment of plants while learning about plant myths, mysteries and histories! Create fantastic, flora-inspired art, go on enchanting farm adventures and plant a magical mini garden to take home.

Wetland Wonders
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 23-27 or July 21-25
Dive into a week full of aquatic ecosystem exploration! Investigate what makes a healthy ecosystem and what you can do to help through outdoor adventure, hands-on activities, nature play, and scientific experiments. Plant your own terrarium to bring home.

 

Garden Camps at York Street

Grow your mind, plant a new friend and dig into the Gardens with our week-long day camps. Each camp contains a variety of activities that allow you to discover the world of plants through art, science, gardening and outdoor exploration. No aftercare is available in 2025.

Spring Break Camp at York Street

Plant Protectors
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., March 24-28
Explore the fascinating connections between plants and animals in a hands-on journey through the Gardens. From symbiosis to biomimicry, discover the extraordinary ways that flora and fauna interact – and our role in nature. Plus, plant a container garden to take home.

York Street Summer Garden Camps

Art in the Garden
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 9-13 or July 7-11
Explore the intersection between art and nature while being inspired by the beauty of the Gardens. Adventures include painting, drawing, sculpting and designing a miniature dye garden to take home.

Ecosystem Explorers
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 16-20 or July 14-18
Embark on an immersive journey through Colorado’s ecosystems and grow connections to our native plants and animals. Learn about our past, present and future relationships with the land through art, science and mindfulness activities. Plant a companion garden to take home.

Blooming Botanists
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., June 23-27 or July 21-25
Discover the wonderful world of botany! Learn about what plants need to thrive, how plants help us and how we can help plants through exploration, behind-the-scenes adventures and gardening. Plant your own miniature garden to take home.

Plant to Plate: 4-Day Camp
9 a.m. – 4 p.m., July 28 – 31, Monday – Thursday Only
Program Fee: $260
Grab your garden gloves and chef hats! From planting to harvesting, we’ll learn how to cultivate a new culinary creation to taste each day of the week. Plant a pizza garden to take home. 

 


Scholarships: The scholarship application will be open from December 2 – January 2. The application will be linked here on December 2.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations before May 1 are subject to a 15 percent cancellation fee. Cancellations after May 1 are non-refundable.
