American Impressionism: Garden to Gallery

The journey begins in the gardens, where nature's awe-inspiring colors, textures and lines set the stage before moving into the Freyer - Newman Center art galleries. In the gallery, guided commentary will connect the natural elements seen outside with the brushstrokes, colors and light captured by American Impressionist artists in the painting on view. Guides Hannah Craft, associate director of learning engagement & interpretation, and curatorial coordinator Katie Foster will lead an interactive tour and discussion that encourages close looking and visual thinking strategies. This 90-minute tour includes a special gift to commemorate your visit to  Blue Grass Green Skies: American Impressionism and Realism from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
