Cacti and succulents are resilient plants that thrive in harsh conditions. Learn mixed media techniques using watercolor and gouache to establish vibrant colors and build form. Add colored pencil, graphite and ink to capture little details such as cactus spines and fine hairs, and practice techniques for describing the glaucous coating on the cactus pads and leaf-like bracts of succulents.
