Summer Solstice Yoga

Welcome summer with a special summer solstice yoga class outdoors at the Gardens! Connect with the vibrancy of the sun and embrace the high energy activation of summer. This class includes surya namaskar (sun salutations) and other yoga poses designed to cultivate your inner strength while keeping you cool during the beginning of summer. Set your intention for the summer season and reconnect with the beauty of the outdoors surrounded by gardens in bloom while you move, stretch and breathe through this solstice yoga practice.

Instructor: Farnosh Family

Farnosh was a long-time student and teacher of yoga before turning to the sister science of Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, she found the tools to heal herself from chronic pain and inflammation. What she learned on her own journey led her to a life guided by the principles of Ayurveda for herself and her family. She now works with clients one-one-one and leads workshops and classes on Ayurveda and yoga. She is the founder of Ayurveda Mama, an herbalized ghee company and serves on the board of COLORAMA, the Colorado Ayurvedic Medical Association. She has studied with many teachers of yoga, Ayurveda and Sanskrit, including Dr. Vasant Lad, Shiva Rea, Sonia Massoco, Maria Garre, Patricia Wickman and Dr. Bharat Vaidya. She holds an MA in organic chemistry from UCLA and a BA in chemistry from Columbia University.
