A good soil is truly the key to successful gardening. What is soil, let alone good soil for plant growth? Learn the characteristics of our Front Range soils and what can and cannot be done to improve them. Compare landscape soils with native or agricultural soils. Discussion focuses on soil texture, structure, pore space, pH, fertility and testing to deepen your understanding of soil. The importance of the living component of soils, adding organic matter and composting is emphasized.
This class will be held via an online Zoom meeting. Details on how to join the sessions are emailed the day before the program begins.
